Adjacent to Hamilton International Airport, Titanium Park (consisting of Raynes Precinct and Central Precinct) will be a regional commercial and industrial hub.

First Stage of Titanium Park to Torpedo7

Raynes Precinct, the first stage of the Titanium Park business park, a joint venture between McConnell Property and Waikato Regional Airport, situated adjacent to Hamilton International Airport is now sold out.

Multi-million dollar e-commerce and logistics company, Torpedo7 has signed an agreement to purchase 12 hectares at Titanium Park, one of the first large-scale property transactions in the Waikato in several years.

Founded in Hamilton in 2003 Torpedo7 is a Waikato success story. Consistently listed in Deloitte’s Fast 50 index of the country’s fastest growing companies, the adventure retailer operates six internet sites in New Zealand and Australia and employs 150 staff.

Development Manager Aidan Donnelly says that the key advantage of Titanium Park is its connectivity.

“Located in the heart of NZ’s largest export region, flanked by State Highways 1,3 and 21,and adjacent to Hamilton International Airport; the Park is also supported by high-speed fibre-optic connections making it easy for the likes of Torpedo7 to do business,“ says Aidan.

“We are delighted that Torpedo7 is on board. This transaction reinforces that this is a commercial and industrial hub for the region, an ideal location for major freight and logistics businesses to base themselves and establish a cluster with considerable economic advantage. The Park will also build on the existing aviation industries with a balance of commercial, industrial and manufacturing businesses.”

Torpedo7 is planning to start construction of a 15,000sq metre warehouse and two-storey office block early next year, the first stage of a proposed $100 million investment. The office block will feature a squash court and full basket ball court for staff.

This transaction will see the project enter the delivery phase with the construction of new roading and high quality infrastructure due to be completed early 2012.

Stage two, the Central Precinct, is zoned and on sale now with flexible lots ranging from 2000sq metres.
